Juvederm Austin, TX
Thank medical science for facial fillers. They can help us look years younger if they’re used right. The problem is that many practitioners go overboard, and the result can leave you looking even older than before. We are dedicated to preventing that from happening to any of our patients. When you come in to our office for facial fillers, we’ll tell you which ones will work best for you, and we’ll explain why.
What can Juvéderm® and Juvéderm Plus do for me?
Like Restylane and Perlane, Juvéderm and Juvéderm Plus are made up of natural hyaluronic acid (HA). This substance is produced in your body, but production of HA is reduced as we get older. The result is, unfortunately, lines, wrinkles, and loss of volume. Juvéderm and Juvéderm Plus restore that hyaluronic acid, adding volume and making lines and wrinkles less prominent.
Do Juvéderm and Juvéderm Plus injections hurt?
They hurt a little bit, but not a lot. The injections also contain Lidocaine, which provides a helpful numbing effect. And don’t forget that we’re happy to hold your hand, give you a squeeze toy, or use a numbing cream if you’re worried about the pain.
What’s the difference between Juvéderm and Juvéderm Plus?
The simple explanation is that Juvéderm Plus is slightly thicker and works better on deeper folds and creases.
How does Juvéderm differ from other hyaluronic dermal fillers?
Juvéderm is more like a syrup, while Restylane is more like a gel. These differences in consistency make each filler unique. So, we can and do use them differently to make you look your best. During your consultation with our staff, they will be able to tell which fillers will work best for you. This comes from years of observing how these subtle differences between fillers manifest.
How long do Juvéderm and Juvéderm Plus injections last?
Juvéderm and Juvéderm Plus injections can last as long as a year.
What is recovery like?
Just like other dermal fillers, you don’t have to “recover” from Juvéderm injections. Leave our office, and get on with your life. If you have any reaction at all, you’ll experience mild swelling and a few faint bruises that you can cover with makeup, and these effects will go away within a few days.
